The Story

This Art Deco engagement ring features a .50-carat old European cut center diamond with four 1.6mm accent diamonds totaling .072 carats in 18K white gold. The center stone grades SI1 in clarity and L in color, which shows noticeable warmth that gives it a buttery tone instead of icy white.

Old European cuts were hand-cut in the early 1900s and throw light in softer, chunkier patterns compared to modern brilliant cuts. The mounting features a geometric step design typical of Art Deco styling, creating depth and dimension around the center stone.

Detailed filigree engraving runs throughout the band, showcasing the hand-crafted artistry from this period. The total diamond weight of .57 carats creates good presence on the finger, and the overall design sits at a moderate height that works for everyday wear while the white gold has developed the natural patina that comes with age.
