Engagement Ring 1917 Edwardian England .38ct Old European Cut Diamond in 14k Yellow Gold

This original Edwardian engagement ring features a .38 carat old European cut diamond set in a 14 karat yellow gold mounting, date 1917.  The center diamond is held in place by four open prongs allowing for maximum brilliance.   The stone sits low, allowing for maximum wearability while the prongs seamlessly flow into the shoulders and shank of the ring.  A lovely example of a sleek British Edwardian engagement ring.
